The
CHU is a government approved facility, located in Uruguay,
South America.
We
have bred reptiles and amphibians since 1977, when a Phrynops
hilari was first hatched.
Our
main interest is research on captive breeding of side necked
turtles and lecturing on a broad range
of Natural History subjects.
We
also breed some lizard and snake species, such as black
mussuranas (Clelia occipitolutera),
white blotched mutants of this species (overo) and a few others.
