LIZARDS

Tupinambis merianae

The black and white tegu, an active inhabitant of temperate areas in South America. They can run on the hind legs, and swim very well. We are beggining to breed them, and the babies grow quickly. They enjoy eating sweet fruits as well as animal foods. If you plan on keeping a group, be aware there is a pecking order and some animals will feed first. Very intelligent lizards!

Hatching is almost simultaneous

Babies probably feed in nature off the remains of the eggs fluid

Adults may have the run
of the house

If you have any questions pertaining husbandry or breeding of the above species, I will be happy to help.
