BOTHROPS ALTERNATUS STRIPED

About one year a friend called me to tell me he had obtained a wild caught
striped Bothrops alternatus.
Several months later, another alternatus very similar to the first one was
caught in exactly the same area.
Not only is the pattern different.
The normal color has been enhanced by this mutation.
I can only conclude this pattern and color variation is genetic.
While all poisonous snakes must be handled with care, this is not an
aggresive species.
Both snakes feed well on laboratory mice.
