Centro Herpetológico Uruguay
Breeding, Research and Education

The CHU is a government approved facility, located in Uruguay, South America.

We have bred reptiles and amphibians since 1977, when a Phrynops hilari was first hatched.

Our main interest is research on captive breeding of side necked turtles and lecturing on a broad range
